French Language Arts and Culture Development

• The maximum contribution per project is $50,000, subject to available funding.
• Payments are issued in two installments, as specified in the Conditional Contribution Agreement.
• Contributions are limited to one per fiscal year, with conditional approval for multi-year projects if funds are available in future years.
• The government’s liability is strictly limited to the authorized amount of funding; it does not cover budget shortfalls or deficits.

• The applicant must be an individual, non-profit organization, or municipal corporation.
• The project must support the capacity, retention, preservation, or promotion of the French language in Nunavut.
• The project should contribute to strengthening the cultural, artistic, or heritage actions of Nunavut's French language community.

• Individuals involved in French language arts and culture projects
• Non-profit organizations supporting the French language community in Nunavut
• Municipal corporations carrying out French language cultural, artistic, or heritage initiatives

Eligible geographic areas

• Nunavut

• Evaluation of how the project increases capacity and ensures the long-term retention, preservation, and promotion of the French language in Nunavut.
• Review of project objectives, proposed budget (including revenues and expenditures), and timeline for completion as outlined in the funding proposal.
• Assessment of achieved benefits compared to expectations indicated in the proposal (post-project achievement report).

• The grant is awarded as contributions, with recipients required to submit an achievement report comparing attained benefits to initial expectations.
• Payments are issued in two installments according to the Conditional Contribution Agreement.
• Funding is limited to one approval per fiscal year, with the possibility of conditional multi-year approval if future funds are available.
