Who is eligible?

• FreeBSD developers.
• FreeBSD community members such as committers, kernel hackers, ports maintainers, documentation authors, bugbusters, and system administrators.

Who is not eligible

• Applicants seeking support for meals, alcohol, or social events.
• Expenses already covered by another person.

Eligible expenses

• Transportation costs.
• Lodging costs, including hotel nights before and during the event.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Meals and alcohol.
• Social events.
• Expenses paid for another person.

Eligible geographic areas

• International applicants attending eligible FreeBSD-related conferences.

• Applications are reviewed at the close of the application period.
• Applicants are notified within two weeks of the deadline.
• Approved recipients must submit a short trip report after the event.
• Reimbursement requires the trip report, expense form, and original receipts.

• Applications are reviewed after the application period closes.
• Applicants should first seek support from their employer when possible.
• Conference speakers are generally expected to have travel covered by the conference.
• Travel report and expense documents must be submitted to receive reimbursement.
