Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Organizations seeking support for political, partisan, or religious activities

Eligible expenses

  • Community project costs related to approved local initiatives.
  • Project materials, equipment, and other direct costs linked to the activity.
  • Support for volunteer or in-kind contributions included in the project budget.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Covering deficits or retiring debts
  • Providing contributions to other endowment funds
  • Supporting partisan, political or religious activities
  • Supporting travel costs and supporting annual operating expenses, including ongoing events
  • Individuals, annual fund drives, and expenses incurred prior to the grant application review date

  • Electoral Areas A, C, E, F, G and H within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George

Selection criteria

  • Impact a significant number of people in the community rather than benefitting a few.
  • Co-ordination of community resources, both human and financial, for the project.
  • Involvement of the program beneficiaries in the planning.
  • Volunteer participation.
  • A clearly defined and researched need, evidence of support from other organizations and funders, active planning for continuance beyond initial funding, a defined method of evaluation to measure the outcomes, and benefit to a specific electoral area.

How to apply

  • Complete the attached application form and submit it, along with supporting documentation, to the Fraser-Fort George Endowment Funds Grants Committee.
  • Submit by email to info@pgcf.ca, by mail to Fraser-Fort George Endowment Funds c/o PG Community Foundation, #102-1584 7th Avenue, Prince George, BC V2L 3P4, or drop it off at the same address.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Fraser-Fort George Endowment Funds Grants Committee.
  • Funding decisions are made after the review process, with decisions noted for April.
  • Successful applicants receive grants later in the cycle, with grants issued in May.
  • Approved projects require a final report or interim report, followed by a final report upon completion.

Additional information

  • The program is managed by the Prince George Community Foundation.
  • Final reports are due by November 1 each year.
  • Past reports must be submitted to be considered for future funding.
