Overview

Provides up to $3,000 to support education-focused youth initiatives. It funds projects that improve motivation, well-being, safety, and other decisive factors for student success.

Activities funded

  • Initiatives that improve youth motivation or engagement in education
  • Projects that strengthen youth self-esteem
  • Activities that promote positive peer association
  • Initiatives supporting healthy lifestyles, safety, or physical and mental well-being
  • Other initiatives addressing decisive factors that help youth pursue their education
Examples of admissible projects:

Documents Needed

Eligibility

  • The initiative must support young people in their education and success at school.
  • The initiative must contribute to at least one factor such as motivation, self-esteem, positive peer association, healthy lifestyles, safety, or physical or mental well-being.
  • The project must be carried out in Alberta, New Brunswick, Ontario, or Quebec.
  • The applicant must be an eligible school or a CRA-registered charity located in an eligible province.

Who is eligible?

  • Public preschools, elementary schools, and secondary schools recognized by the relevant provincial education authority (in eligible provinces)
  • Private preschools, elementary schools, and secondary schools recognized by the relevant provincial education authority (in eligible provinces)
  • Canada Revenue Agency registered charities located in Alberta, New Brunswick, Ontario, or Quebec that help youth stay in school and succeed academically
