How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare your proposal
- Develop the project proposal and supporting information.
- Set up a GCKey and access the Single Window Information Manager (SWIM).
- Step 2: Access the online system
- Use the Grants and Contributions Enterprise Management System (GCEMS).
- Allow up to 3 business days to receive the initial password for online access.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Submit the project proposal through GCEMS.
- Apply as early as possible through the portal.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are evaluated for eligibility, program fit, feasibility, collaboration, leverage potential, finances, and recipient capacity.
- ECCC may request additional information or clarification during review.
- Applicants selected for the next phase are contacted, and approval is not guaranteed.
- Successful applicants must sign a funding agreement before funds are released or work begins.
- Recipients must submit regular progress reports, annual reports for multi-year projects, and a final report.
Additional information
- Multiple applications may be submitted for different projects.
- No matching funding is required, but additional funds or in-kind contributions are encouraged.
- Applicants must declare all sources of project funding.
