  • Wages or honoraria.
  • Planning and community visioning work.
  • Tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Food-related infrastructure.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects focused only on immediate food access, such as food hampers, food banks, or snack programs, without a strong skill-building or knowledge-sharing component.
  • Day-to-day operational costs and maintenance.
  • General administrative fees.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first screened by the Provincial Coordinator.
  • Funding decisions are made by a review panel.
  • Applicants are notified within 4 weeks of the deadline.
  • Successful applicants must sign a funding agreement before payment.
  • Funds are issued by direct deposit after required documents are received.

Additional information

  • Only one application per organization will be approved.
  • Successful applicants may access an optional top-up grant for capacity building.
  • A final report is required by March 31, 2027.
