Overview
Provides up to $25,000 to support small, sustainable food-system projects on Haida Gwaii. Funding supports initiatives that strengthen local production, harvesting, distribution, and community education for long-term food security.
Activities funded
- Projects that enhance local food production and harvesting capacity.
- Projects that promote environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Projects that strengthen distribution methods to improve access to fresh local food.
- Community education and engagement initiatives related to food sovereignty, nutrition, and local food systems.

Eligibility
- The project must contribute to improving local food production, harvesting, or distribution in a sustainable manner.
- The initiative must support long-term food security and self-sufficiency on Haida Gwaii.
- The project should align with at least one priority area: local production, sustainable practices, distribution access, or community education and engagement.
