Eligibility and application rules updated
The FAQ now states that the Foundation does not fund individuals and that applications must be submitted by a qualified donee. It also adds that organizations should generally submit only one application per 12-month period, current grantees may generally hold only one grant at a time, renewal proposals may be submitted six months before expiry, and declined applicants may reapply after 12 months. The eligibility guidance also clarifies that some internationally focused initiatives may be considered when they have a clear connection to Canadian communities, institutions, or democratic impact. The FAQ further says the Foundation cannot connect applicants with qualified donees or provide advance strategic guidance on how to structure an application.
