The fiscal sponsorship page now shows the deadline as August 19, 2026 at 17 h, replacing the previous February 25, 2026 deadline, and the call schedule text now lists November 12, 2025, February 25, 2026, and August 19, 2026. Eligibility and scope language were also revised: research/production was removed from the eligible project list, and the project-type wording now includes creation/production plus association, group, service organization, or production support organization. The support section also adds payment language about monthly batch disbursements for amounts over $1,000, and funding conditions now specify that disbursement depends on donation receipts and a signed agreement.

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Incorporated non-profit organizations
  • Artists’ cooperatives that do not pay dividends
  • Arts organizations based on the Island of Montreal

Who is not eligible

  • General or limited partnerships.
  • Individual artists and artists’ collectives.
  • Public or para-public organizations representing governments or municipal corporations.
  • Organizations dedicated to teaching, education, and professional training.
  • Organizations that have already received the full five years of program support.

Eligible expenses

  • Fundraising activities carried out under the approved fiscal sponsorship agreement.
  • Administrative and fiscal management related to the donation process.
  • Promotion and solicitation materials reviewed and approved by the Conseil.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects completed before receiving the Conseil’s decision.
  • Sound recording projects (albums, CDs, demos, etc.) of a promotional and/or commercial nature at every stage of album production, including pre-production, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering.
  • Creative writing projects, including research, writing, or editing projects.
  • Projects whose main focus is cultural mediation.
  • Film, video or web production projects; projects that are essentially promotional, including video clips; projects intended primarily for training, internships or masterclasses; and projects aimed at participating in a promotional showcase or prospecting at the national or international level.

Selection criteria

  • Alignment of planned activities with the organization’s capabilities and resources.
  • Relevance and impact of the proposed actions.
  • Interest and relevance of the project.
  • Assessment by peer evaluators from the same discipline.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Gather the required project, organizational, and financial information.
    • Complete the application in French, unless the applicant is an Indigenous organization.
  • Step 2: Submit through ORORA
    • Create or use an account on the ORORA portal.
    • Complete and send the application online before the deadline.
  • Step 3: Wait for the decision
    • The Conseil reviews the application after the deadline.
    • The organization representative receives the result by email on ORORA.
  • Step 4: Complete post-approval requirements
    • Sign the management agreement.
    • Obtain approval for solicitation documents before fundraising begins.

Processing and Agreement

  • It takes twelve to fourteen weeks from the date of the application for the Conseil to process it and reach a decision.
  • The organization representative receives an email invitation to view the results on the ORORA platform.
  • No decisions are communicated by phone.
  • The Conseil’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
  • When the Tax Sponsorship grant is disbursed, CAM shares a disbursement report.

Additional information

  • One application per year is allowed.
  • Applications are reviewed by peer evaluators from the same artistic discipline.
  • All applications must be submitted in French, except for Indigenous organizations.
  • The organization must use the ORORA online portal for submission.
