Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Owners of heritage buildings with statutory heritage status under the Loi sur le patrimoine culturel or buildings of superior value subject to a PIIA.
  • Owners of land with a history of industrial activity.

Eligible expenses

  • Renovation of foundations and walls, including enclosure, cover, and watertightness work.
  • Renovation of doors, windows, cornices, galleries, and other exterior features.
  • Reconstitution of heritage elements and demolition of a complementary building.
  • Acquisition of knowledge costs, including health records, technical audits, and complementary professional studies.
  • Management and disposal of contaminated soil and dry materials.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects that are only for information, awareness, or education.
  • Preliminary studies completed before the project begins.
  • Projects aimed only at maintaining existing assets.

  • The first neighbourhoods subject to a PIIA in Trois-Rivières.

Selection criteria

  • Applications are treated according to registration date.
  • Complete files are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Urgent works are not prioritized.

How to apply

  • Sign up on the waiting list.
  • Pay the $100 opening fee.

  • For the contaminated soil and dry materials stream, mail the request with a non-refundable $100 cheque to the same address.

Processing and Agreement

  • Before undertaking work, the applicant must be registered, have municipal council approval, and sign the commitment with the program coordinator.
  • Requests are processed according to registration date and on a first-come, first-served basis when the file is complete.
  • Urgent works are not prioritized.
