Selection criteria

  • Applications are assessed on a first come, first served basis
  • Projects must meet the minimum admissibility threshold for each work category
  • The application must be complete and compliant

How to apply

  • Step 1: Submit the financial assistance request
    • Complete the application form.
    • Send the form and required documents by email to sudd.projets.immobiliers@gatineau.ca.
  • Step 2: Submit the municipal approval request and building permit application
    • After the City confirms the request is receivable, submit the request subject to City Council approval to the local service center.
    • Also submit the building permit application.

Processing and Agreement

  • The application is reviewed once it is complete and all required documents have been submitted.
  • The City may request additional documents during the review or permit process.
  • A municipal council resolution number and a building permit number are required for admissibility.
  • After the works are completed, the City inspects the building to verify compliance.

  • A free heritage restoration consultation is available through SARP.
  • Applications are processed first come, first served while funds remain available.
  • No waiting list is maintained.
  • Additional documents may be requested by the City during review.
