Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Municipalities and MRCs authorized to organize public transit in rural areas
- Municipal and intermunicipal transport organizations
- Regional elected-official organizations, such as a table of prefects
Who is not eligible
- Organizations listed in the Register of Enterprises Ineligible for Public Contracts (RENA)
- Applicants that failed to meet prior funding obligations with the Minister
- Projects already funded under the PADTC or the MADA support program
Eligible expenses
- Direct operating costs for project coordination, including salaries and required contracts
- Administrative costs, up to 15% of the financial assistance
- Promotion and animation costs, including room rental, travel, and meals for accompanying staff
- Adaptation of software or data platforms for demand-responsive, dispatch, or carpooling systems
- Creation of websites, booking phone lines, or mobile applications adapted for seniors
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Debt financing and loan repayments
- Infrastructure and capital costs, except authorized transit stop and user information signs
- Costs already covered by another ministry or government funding program
- Contracted transport services not organized in accordance with the Transport Act
- Expenses incurred before April 1, 2025 or after the eligible project period
