Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Individual applicants
  • Corporations
  • Saskatchewan production companies

Who is not eligible

  • Production companies that hold a broadcasting license issued by the CRTC
  • Applicants that deal at non-arm’s length with a corporation that holds a broadcasting license

Eligible expenses

  • Development costs directly tied to the project
  • Producer fees and project-specific labour
  • Contracted services directly attributable to the project
  • Administration costs within the program cap
  • Travel, per diem, and accommodation costs for Saskatchewan residents, where applicable

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • No other related-party expenses are eligible in the Pre-Development Stream, except full-time employee wages for project-specific work.
  • Related-party financing is not considered a market relevant source in the First Draft Stream.

  • Track record of the key creative team, especially the producer and writer
  • Level of Saskatchewan copyright ownership and cultural development
  • Commercial viability and market potential, including confirmed development financing
