- Other not-for-profit organizations with experience advancing equality for women
- Not-for-profit Indigenous organizations
- Indigenous governments and their agencies, where applicable
- Research organizations, institutes, centres of expertise, and educational institutions

- Organizations that are not Canadian or not legally constituted
- Organizations whose applications are incomplete
- Organizations submitting more than one application
- Projects focused on activities outside Canada
- Projects limited to organizational capacity-building or direct service delivery
Eligible expenses
- Project staff salaries and benefits
- Travel within Canada
- Honoraria and professional fees
- Materials, supplies, and project-specific room rental
- Translation, promotion, and administrative costs
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- General operating costs not related to the project
- Capital expenditures such as land, buildings, and vehicles
- Salaries and benefits for board members or other decision-making bodies
- Budget deficits, debt reduction, reserves, or endowment funds
- Costs incurred before a funding decision
