Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Other non-profit organizations with experience advancing women’s equality

  • Research institutes, research centres, and centres of expertise
  • Educational institutions

  • Organizations outside Canada
  • Organizations focused only on direct service delivery
  • Organizations seeking funding only for capacity-building activities
  • Organizations without legal incorporation or registration

Eligible expenses

  • Travel within Canada, including mileage and meal rates within government limits
  • Salaries and benefits for staff directly working on the project
  • Fees and honoraria
  • Materials, supplies, translation, training, and project-specific facilities
  • Project administration costs, up to 20% of requested funding

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Activities focused on issues outside Canada
  • Activities only meant to build organizational capacity
  • Direct service delivery programs and ongoing services
  • General operating costs not tied to the project
  • Capital expenses such as land, buildings, and vehicles
  • Costs incurred before funding approval

  • Submitted applications receive an automatic email confirmation within 24 hours.

  • Progress reports and a final report are required after approval.
