How to apply
- Complete the application form in full
- Submit the application form to the relevant municipal department or office
- Include a sketch or site plan showing the existing access point location(s) and their context with the property line(s)
- Include the application fee, if required
Processing and Agreement
- All requests to assign an access point address shall be submitted on the appropriate application forms to the Development Services Department.
- The Municipality’s review process will not begin until receipt of a complete application package.
- Applications are reviewed by staff for completeness and compliance.
- Changes to the application by the applicant during the review process will increase the length of the review period.
- Applicants are notified by phone when the application has been approved, and the approved application and EPAP sign may then be picked up for installation.
Additional information
- The assigned address is for emergency reference only and shall not be used as a mailing address.
- The EPAP address does not replace an Entrance Permit for future upgrades, improvements, or designation changes.
- The property owner is responsible for installing and maintaining the address post and sign, may engage a contractor to complete the work, and on seasonally maintained roads access may be limited during portions of the year.
- If development occurs on vacant land in the future, a regular green 911 civic address sign is required.
