Overview

The FAIS Financial Allocation 2025–26 provides funding (maximum amount not specified) to support projects in the Capitale-Nationale that improve seniors’ quality of life in long-term care, help maintain autonomy at home, and strengthen inclusion and social participation. Eligible activities include social innovation initiatives and research activities related to healthy aging, as well as projects delivered by CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale teams, community organizations, and associated research centres.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be an organization, institution, service, research group, community organization, or research centre working with seniors in the Capitale-Nationale region.
  • The project must benefit seniors in the Capitale-Nationale, including seniors living in long-term care centres (CHSLD) or at home (home-support/SAPA), or support CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale–associated settings.
  • The project must aim to improve seniors’ quality of life in care centres, preserve autonomy at home, or support social inclusion and participation.
  • The project may be an innovation initiative linked to healthy aging or a research activity that improves knowledge related to healthy aging.
  • The application must be submitted by the stated deadlines (Jan 22, 2026 for CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale teams; Feb 1, 2026 for community organizations and research centres) using the appropriate FAiS forms.

Who is eligible?

  • CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale teams (including associated CHSLD and MDAA, and SAPA home support services)
  • Community organizations (non-profits) in the Capitale-Nationale region
  • Research centres associated with the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale (VITAM, CEVQ)
