Overview

The Explore – Second Language Program offers up to $3,850 per participant to support intensive French or English language immersion for eligible Canadian students. Funding covers tuition, instructional materials, meals, and lodging for virtual or in-person sessions during the spring or summer.

Financing terms and conditions

  • Financial contribution of $3,850 per participant aged 16 and older, covering tuition, instructional materials, meals, and lodging.
  • Financial contribution of $2,760 per participant aged 13 to 15, covering tuition, instructional materials, meals, and lodging.

Activities funded

  • Intensive French language immersion for English-speaking students.
  • Intensive English language immersion for French-speaking students.
  • Virtual second language immersion sessions for students unable to attend in person.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • The applicant must meet the Explore institution’s minimum age requirement by the time the program begins (13–15, 16–17, or 18+).
  • The applicant must have been a part-time or full-time student for at least one term during the current school year.
  • Participants of the Odyssey program within the last two years are also eligible.

  • Odyssey program participants from the last two years are still eligible to participate in Explore.
