Explore program dates and bursary guidance updated
The Explore “About Explore” page now lists the program periods as May 1 to June 2, 2027, May 4 to June 4, 2027, and June 28 to July 30, 2027, replacing the earlier 2026 dates. The same page also revises the bursary and admission wording, including secondary students in the bursary statement, updating the online admission note, and changing registration to occur within the timeframe specified in the acceptance letter. On the Explore Online Summer “Times and Dates” page, the June–July 2026 class, meet-and-greet, and exam schedule was replaced with “TBA,” and the linked 2026 schedule was removed. The bursary application instructions and confirmation-of-enrolment requirement are also presented with revised wording.

- Places are awarded using a randomized, computer-generated draw.
How to apply
- If this is your first time applying to one of the Official Languages Programs, you’ll need to create a profile. Otherwise, log in to your existing profile.
- On the “My applications” page, click or tap the printer icon to print your application.
- Review the printed application. The first page of the printed application includes important information, and the second page is your official Declaration form (we’ll also send a copy of the Declaration form to you by email).
- Take the printed Declaration form to an authorized person at your school (e.g. teacher, guidance counsellor, or the Registrar’s office) and ask them to fill in and sign the required sections.
Processing and Agreement
- It may take a few weeks for us to process your application.
- You can log in to your profile at any time to check for updates on your status.
- We’ll send you email updates throughout the process, so you won’t miss any important information.
- If you are selected, we’ll send you a notification by email, following the pan-Canadian draw.
