Selection criteria

  • Applications received by the deadline are entered into a randomized, computer-generated draw
  • Eligible applications not selected in the draw may be kept in a wait pool
  • Remaining places may be filled by institutions after the main draw

How to apply

  • Step 1: Choose sessions
    • Review available sessions and select your top three choices.
  • Step 2: Create or sign in to your profile
    • Use the OLP-PLO portal or mobile app to access your account.
  • Step 3: Complete the application
    • Fill in the online form and confirm it.
    • Print the application and declaration form.
    • Have the declaration signed by an authorized person at your school.
    • Sign the declaration and obtain a parent or guardian signature if under 18.
  • Step 4: Upload supporting documents
    • Upload the signed declaration form and required ID documents in your profile.
  • Step 5: Submit and monitor status
    • Submit before the deadline and check your profile and email for updates.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications submitted by the deadline enter a randomized pan-Canadian draw
  • Unselected eligible applications may move to a wait pool
  • Institutions may award remaining spots from the wait pool between March and July
  • Applicants are notified by email and must accept or refuse offers within the stated timeline
  • Eligibility is reviewed by provincial or territorial ministries or departments
