  • Applicants with outstanding Exhibit Renewal and Museum Activities Support Program final reports for the component to which they are applying

Selection criteria

  • Project description (6), project objectives (3), originality and standards (3), and detailed workplan and work schedule (6) are scored.
  • Content (6), use of the collection and artifacts (6), and proposed design plan (6) are scored.
  • Impact of the project on the community and general public (3), community interest and involvement in the project (3), planned evaluation measures (6), project budget (6), letters of support and an excerpt from the minutes (3), and understanding of planning principles (3) are scored.
  • The total score is 60.
  • Projects scoring 50% and above will be considered for funding until program budget is expended.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application
    • Fill out the application form.
    • Prepare all supporting documents and required quotes.
  • Step 2: Obtain authorization
    • Have the application signed by an authorized person.
  • Step 3: Check eligibility
    • Use the pre-application checklist to confirm organization and project eligibility.
  • Step 4: Submit by email
    • Send all documents to archaeology-heritage@gnb.ca.
  • Step 5: Submit final report if funded
    • Complete and send the final report within 30 days after project completion.

Processing and Agreement

  • All applications will be reviewed after the October 31 deadline.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered until all other applications have been reviewed and processed, and late applications may not be accepted.
  • Projects scoring 50% and above will be considered for funding until the program budget is expended.
  • If funded, a final report must be completed, signed and submitted to archaeology-heritage@gnb.ca 30 days after completion.
  • Projects or parts of projects started or completed before application approval will not be funded retroactively.
