Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Organizations from Eureka member countries
  • Canadian SME participants must be registered IRAP clients

Selection criteria

  • Preference may be given to SME applicants with a minimum of 15 full-time equivalent employees.
  • Preference may be given to SME applicants who have commercialized 1 or more products domestically or internationally.
  • Preference may be given to SME applicants with greater than $500,000 CAD in annual revenue.

How to apply

  • Register using the Register button at the end of the page.
  • Canadian applicants must submit an expression of interest (EOI) form.
  • The project consortium must complete and submit a Eureka project online application form.
  • Each project partner seeking funding must submit all required documents to its respective national funding body and meet its due diligence process.

Processing and Agreement

  • NRC IRAP will review registrations and contact applicants if more information is required.
  • Qualifying applicants will be invited to submit an expression of interest form, which will be evaluated by the applicant’s NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
  • Canadian ICPP applications will be evaluated by an NRC IRAP evaluation team including the applicant’s NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
  • NRC IRAP will work with the partner countries for joint review and Eureka labelling.
  • Only collaborative projects deemed worthy of the Eureka label will proceed to the final national funding body proposal and funding agreement stage, where eligible project partners sign legally binding funding agreements with their respective national funding body.
