Who is eligible?
- Project consortia that include at least 1 incorporated Canadian SME and 1 eligible foreign partner.

Selection criteria
- Preference may be given to SME applicants with a minimum of 15 full-time equivalent employees.
- Preference may be given to SME applicants that have commercialized one or more products domestically or internationally.
- Preference may be given to SME applicants with greater than $500,000 CAD in annual revenue.
How to apply
- Each Canadian applicant must register using the Register button at the bottom of the page.
- Each Canadian applicant seeking funding must submit an expression of interest (EOI) form.
- All project partners work together to complete and submit an international consortium project proposal (ICPP) package.
- Each project partner seeking funding completes the national funding body proposal and funding agreement phase.
Processing and Agreement
- NRC IRAP reviews registrations and contacts applicants if more information is required.
- Qualifying applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest form.
- EOIs are evaluated by the applicant's NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
- Qualifying applicants are invited to submit the international consortium project proposal package.
- Each project partner seeking funding submits required documents to its respective national funding body and meets its due diligence process requirements.
- After each national funding body has evaluated the applications, a final joint project selection is performed.
- Eligible project partners complete funding proposals and sign legally binding funding agreements with their respective national funding body.
