Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Ontario residents.

Eligible expenses

  • Professional services and consulting fees
  • Contracted labour costs
  • Purchase of materials for eligible projects

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Labour and machinery use of the applicant, family dependents, and the applicant's business
  • Permits and fees
  • Projects that are a legislative or legal requirement
  • New tile drainage that is not part of the project
  • Costs associated with developing engineer reports for municipal drainage projects; invoices not issued in the applicant's name or farm business; HST if the applicant is entitled to a HST rebate

Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to projects in designated subwatersheds and areas prone to erosion, and fields with high soil P levels.
  • Priority is given to practices that are new to the operation.
  • Priority is given to applicants that are new to the program.
  • Preference is given to applications that demonstrate conservation tillage and cover crop use.
  • Applications outside priority areas and those implementing usual practices may go on a waitlist.

  • UTRCA will inspect the final project before payment is issued
