Eligibility

Who is not eligible

  • Political parties, candidates, or advocacy organizations.
  • Individuals, except recipients of scholarships, fellowships, grants, awards and internships.
  • Any for-profit organization.
  • Organizations that discriminate in any way against any race, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Core funding, including staff wages, advertising, utilities, and rent.
  • Third party fundraising initiatives.
  • Conferences, except those that fall within the key funding objectives and are open to the public.
  • Individual school initiatives, such as playground equipment and lunch programs.
  • Projects that conflict with Bruce Power’s policies, values, or regulatory obligations.

Selection criteria

  • Projects that deliver measurable environmental outcomes are prioritized.
  • Projects that strengthen ecosystem resilience are prioritized.
  • Projects that support the long-term sustainability of the regions in which Bruce Power operates are prioritized.

How to apply

  • Access the online application between June 1 and September 30; the application link is only available during this window.
  • Submit the application online, as applications via email are not accepted.

Processing and Agreement

  • Funding decisions for each calendar year will be communicated in the first quarter of the year via the email included in the original proposal.
