Eligibility

Who is not eligible

  • Businesses that are not current or future Énergir customers (e.g., without an assigned Énergir account number).
  • Organizations whose activities do not fall within the targeted sectors (therefore outside the commercial, institutional, industrial sectors, or multi-unit residential buildings of 4 units or more).
  • Businesses whose building does not use natural gas for heating (or for which natural gas accounts for less than 30% of heating energy, and that are not dual‑energy customers).
  • Businesses submitting a request for less than $500 (not eligible).

Eligible expenses

  • Purchase and installation of eligible windows and wall components (renovated).
  • Purchase and installation of eligible roof renovation work (attic roof or other type of roof).
  • Costs of airtightness tests (blower door) and caulking/sealing work related to these tests.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Measures that do not require any spending on products or equipment.
  • Requests for less than $500.

Processing and Agreement

  • Énergir analyzes the submitted file and may contact the applicant if additional information is needed.
  • Énergir assesses whether the project complies with the program requirements.
  • If the project is deemed compliant, Énergir confirms this to the applicant and issues a cheque.
  • Énergir reserves the right to accept, refuse, or adjust the energy savings recognized for proposed measures.
  • Énergir may limit the number of approved projects if the program budget is depleted, and may modify or end the program without prior notice.
