Who is eligible?
- Non-profit organizations serving official-language minority communities
- For-profit organizations serving official-language minority communities
- Educational or vocational organizations serving official-language minority communities
- Indigenous organizations serving a community where the minority official language in the province or territory is French or English
Who is not eligible
- Organizations outside the OLMC and Indigenous categories
- Temporary residents and international students as clients
- Organizations seeking funding for the same activities and recipients under another agreement
Eligible expenses
- Overhead costs, including central administration functions that support agreement activities
- Materials and supplies
- Salaries and mandatory employment-related costs
- Training and professional development for staff
- Fees, printing and communication, hospitality, travel, professional services, participant supports, accessibility-related repairs or renovations, tools and equipment, and data collection and reporting costs requested by the Department
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- In-depth skills training is not an eligible activity
Eligible geographic areas
- Organizations must be in their respective province or territory.
Selection criteria
- Priority may be given to projects that provide services in more than one of the four defined employment assistance service activities.
- Priority may be given to projects that establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other service providers.
- Priority may be given to projects that contribute to pan-Canadian coverage by serving large client centres, including rural or remote areas.
- Priority may be given to projects that serve people with intersecting identities living in official-language minority communities.

- If you do not have a SELSC account, you are encouraged to create one as soon as possible.
- You may also apply by email or by mail using the application form.
- Send your application by email to the applicable address for your province or territory before 13:00 EDT on June 20, 2024.
- Mail your application no later than 13:00 EDT on June 20, 2024, postmarked by that date.
- Submit only one copy of your application to EDSC.
Processing and Agreement
- If you submit by the SELSC portal, you will receive an immediate acknowledgment and a tracking number.
- If you submit by mail, you will receive an acknowledgment by email within 14 days after receipt.
- You must not begin your project until you have received news from the department.
- You cannot begin any proposed activities or incur expenses before approval and a signed funding agreement.
- Funding decisions are final and without appeal.
