Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Official Language Minority Community organizations whose mission and/or mandate is dedicated primarily to supporting individuals living in OLMCs nationally, provincially, regionally, or locally
  • Official Language Minority Community educational or vocational institutions
  • For-profit organizations may be eligible if the activity funded by the Department is non-commercial, not intended to generate profit, and supports program priorities and objectives

Eligible expenses

  • Project costs directly related to service delivery, such as advertising, equipment, furniture, materials and supplies, rent, signage, staff training, transportation, and utilities
  • Administrative or overhead costs linked to central support functions
  • Wrap-around supports for participants, such as childcare, transportation, access to technology, work clothing, and time-limited language support

  • In-depth skills training

Selection criteria

  • Proposals offering services in more than one of the four defined EAS activities may be prioritized for funding.
  • Collaborative relationships with other service providers that contribute to the success of the service model may be prioritized for funding.
  • Proposals contributing to pan-Canadian coverage by serving larger areas of OLMC clients, including those living in rural or remote areas, may be prioritized for funding.
  • Proposals serving individuals living in OLMCs with intersectional identities may be prioritized for funding.

  • To apply by email or mail, download and complete the Standard Application for Funding.
  • Email your application to NC-FHCLOSM-EFOLMC-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca by 1:00 pm EDT on June 20, 2024.
  • If you submit your application by mail, send it to the Gatineau, QC mailing address provided on the application page.
  • Submit one application only.

Processing and Agreement

  • If you submit your application by mail, you will receive an acknowledgment by email within 14 days of its receipt.
  • The acknowledgment will be sent to the email address provided in your application.
