How to apply

  • Step 1: Detect and confirm the disease
    • Consult a veterinarian immediately if clinical signs appear.
    • Have the veterinarian confirm the infection or suspicion.
  • Step 2: Notify EQSP
    • Report the infected site to EQSP within 48 hours after receiving the veterinarian’s information.
  • Step 3: Complete the required forms
    • Fill out and sign the registration form.
    • Fill out and sign the claim form after the intervention.
  • Step 4: Submit through EQSP
    • EQSP signs and transmits the forms to the funding body.

Processing and Agreement

  • Eligibility is reviewed based on the infected or suspected site, notification timing, ownership, and compliance
  • EQSP confirms the herd status through the veterinarian attestation
  • EQSP submits the registration and claim forms with the applicant
  • An advance may be paid after the registration form is received and recommended by EQSP
  • Final payment is processed after the claim form is completed and reviewed
