Step 2: Access to Funding

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Businesses that have completed Step 1 and received recommendations from the consultant.

Eligible expenses

  • Professional fees and travel costs for hiring and/or bringing in the consultant, in accordance with the National Joint Council (NJC) Travel Directive.
  • Online advertising costs.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Printing of marketing materials.
  • Production of trade show booth.
  • Costs associated with the purchase of physical assets or software.
  • HST/GST.

Selection criteria

  • Proposed activities must align with the recommendations received in Step 1.

How to apply

  • Complete Step One of the program.
  • Identify the consultant you wish to work with.
  • Complete the online application and attach the Consultant's statement of work (SOW).
  • If you intend to hire more than one consultant, attach the proposals from all consultants.

Processing and Agreement

  • LearnSphere evaluates the application and, if approved, issues a letter of offer within 5 to 10 business days.
  • The consultant carries out the statement of work, provides a final report, and invoices you for the work.
  • You submit a claim package including the consultant's final report.
  • LearnSphere reviews and approves your documentation.
  • Reimbursement payments are issued within 30 days after all documentation has been approved.
