Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Commercial FortisBC or municipal electricity customers of Grand Forks, Penticton, Summerland or Nelson Hydro
  • Registered charities providing assistance to income-qualified persons
  • Local governments, housing societies registered under the Societies Act, housing co-ops registered under the Cooperative Association Act, and governing bodies of Indigenous communities, provided the housing is primarily for income-qualified households
  • Registered owners, long-term leaseholders, or property managers of the premises

Who is not eligible

  • Customers who self-generate electricity

How to apply

  • Purchase and install eligible equipment/products.
  • Alternatively, apply online for laundry rebates with your FortisBC or municipal account number, email, and scanned or PDF copies of paid receipts.
  • Ensure all receipts are marked “paid,” clear, legible, itemized and indicate relevant product information.

Processing and Agreement

  • If there is a thermal energy system operating within the Premises, the application and rebate information may be submitted for an independent review by a designated agent selected by FortisBC, whose decision will be final and binding on the Participant.
  • FortisBC may refuse applications that are incomplete, inaccurate or otherwise do not meet Program requirements.
  • FortisBC may recalculate the rebate, void the application, terminate any obligation to pay any rebate, or demand repayment of rebates already disbursed if information changes or requirements are not met.
  • Decisions of FortisBC are final and binding and not subject to appeal.
