- International legal entities, including companies, associations, research associations, standards organizations, and academic institutions.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Technician training programs.
- Online or digital-only projects for the general public.
- Vehicle-only education projects without charging education.
- Expenses incurred before the contribution agreement is signed are not eligible for reimbursement.

- Canada.
- National projects across Canada.
- Underserved regions of Canada, including the Territories, Prairie Provinces, Atlantic Canada, rural areas, and marginalized or racialized urban communities.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed for completeness before assessment.
- Proposals are assessed and applicants receive an approval or rejection notification.
- Successful applicants receive a Letter of Conditional Approval.
- A draft contribution agreement is then sent for review before funding is finalized.
- Payment claims are reviewed before payment is issued.
