  • International legal entities, including companies, associations, research associations, standards organizations, and academic institutions.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Technician training programs.
  • Online or digital-only projects for the general public.
  • Vehicle-only education projects without charging education.
  • Expenses incurred before the contribution agreement is signed are not eligible for reimbursement.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Canada.
  • National projects across Canada.
  • Underserved regions of Canada, including the Territories, Prairie Provinces, Atlantic Canada, rural areas, and marginalized or racialized urban communities.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed for completeness before assessment.
  • Proposals are assessed and applicants receive an approval or rejection notification.
  • Successful applicants receive a Letter of Conditional Approval.
  • A draft contribution agreement is then sent for review before funding is finalized.
  • Payment claims are reviewed before payment is issued.

Additional information

  • Applicants may submit more than one proposal; each is assessed independently.
  • Projects must include charging education.
