Eligible expenses
- Staffing costs, honorariums, materials and supplies
- Printing, communications, training, travel within Edmonton, and evaluation costs
- Administrative costs and fees up to 10% of total project costs
- Food expenses up to 10% of the budget
- Longer-term lease payments for space subsidy projects

- Application preparation and fundraising costs
- Endowments, donations, bursaries, gifts, and donor recognition items
- Expenses incurred before the application was received
- Capital upgrades, renovations, and construction
- Debt reduction, loan interest, lobbying, partisan political activities, festivals, and stand-alone events
