Who is eligible?

- Applicants who are not Canadian registered charities or not-for-profit corporations
- Applicants that have received a grant from EconoLease or the SilverChef Group within the past 12 months
Eligible expenses
- Certified Used commercial kitchen equipment purchased via credit on EconoLease’s website
- Freight costs
- Cash paid to the recipient’s nominated bank account

- Expenses not expressly covered by the grant terms
- Any cost beyond the grant amount not covered by the recipient

Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed against SilverChef’s internal Selection Criteria.
- How the initiative will positively impact the local community is considered.
How to apply
- Submit the application via the online form on the SilverChef Website.
Processing and Agreement
- Valid and complete applications are assessed against the Selection Criteria.
- A shortlist is created from the applications.
- Four applications from the shortlist in each quarter are chosen to receive a Community Grant.
- Successful applicants are notified by email on or before the quarterly notification dates.
- Recipients must respond to the Success Notification Email within one month.
- Recipients who do not respond within one month forfeit the grant, which is offered to the next Eligible Applicant on the shortlist.
Additional information
- Successful applicants are contacted within one month after applications close.
- Unsuccessful applicants are not contacted.
- Eligible applicants may only submit one application per Funding Year and receive one Community Grant per Funding Year.
