Eligible expenses

  • Labour, direct materials, and direct project expenses
  • Business consulting and legal costs, with limits
  • Patent-related costs, up to 10% of the request
  • Prototype, proof-of-concept, and pre-clinical or clinical validation costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Overhead and administration costs
  • General equipment and other hard-to-attribute costs
  • Website creation, marketing materials, and conferences, generally
  • Principal investigator costs for proof-of-concept or prototype development

  • Applications are reviewed after submission through the online portal.
