How to apply

  • Step 1: Register and verify an account
    • Create an account in CZI’s online grants portal.
    • Verify the account through the automatic email message.
  • Step 2: Prepare the application materials
    • Complete all required portal tasks and PDF uploads.
    • Prepare the project proposal, budget, biosketches, active grant support, and letters of commitment.
  • Step 3: Complete the online application
    • Fill in all required sections in the grants portal.
    • Upload the Institutional Approval Form and other required documents.
    • Mark each task as complete.
  • Step 4: Submit through the portal
    • Review the application and submit it online before the deadline.
    • Wait for the automatic submission confirmation email.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed for scientific merit by independent experts.
  • Final funding decisions are made by CZI staff with scientific advisors.
