Eligible expenses

  • Direct project labour
  • Design, architectural, or engineering fees for the façade
  • Contractor fees
  • Tools and equipment rental, materials, supplies, shipping, and PST

  • Routine maintenance and structural repairs
  • Roofs, landscaping, paving, and fencing
  • Interior improvements and non-permanent fixtures
  • Work started before approval
  • GST, duties, permit fees, staff wages, and purchase of tools or equipment

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by staff for guideline compliance.
  • The CAO or designate accepts or rejects preliminary applications, and Council gives final approval for qualified projects.
  • Applicants are notified by email or mailed letter.
  • Approved applicants sign a Letter of Understanding before work begins.
  • Reimbursement is paid after completion, supporting documents, and final verification are provided.

Additional information

  • A signed Letter of Understanding is required for approved projects.
  • The district may use before-and-after photos to promote the program.
  • Approved work must be completed by December 1, 2026.
  • Applications submitted after the first deadline are reviewed on an ongoing basis until funds are allocated.
