Selection criteria

  • Alignment of the objectives of the proposed activity with the specific objectives of the CIHR Institute, Initiative, Branch, and/or partners offering funding through the Priority Announcement Funding Opportunity.
  • Applications are funded from the top down in order of ranking as far as budgets allow.
  • Applications that receive a rating below 3.5 will not be funded.

  • The application process for this funding opportunity is comprised of one phase: Application.
  • Applications are submitted through the 201202KDE competition of the Dissemination Events: Winter 2012 Competition funding opportunity.
  • To complete your application, follow the specific application guidelines and instructions described in the Dissemination Events: Winter 2012 Competition How to Apply section.
  • Select the priority announcement title and relevant research area or areas addressed by your research proposal in the Identify Priority Announcements and Relevant Research Area section of your ResearchNet application.
  • You may request that your application be considered for up to three priority announcement research areas per application in each Dissemination Events competition.

Processing and Agreement

  • Prior to peer review, CIHR and partner organizations will have access to anonymized project titles and project summaries and, if applicable, relevance forms.
  • Applications not deemed relevant will be withdrawn from the Priority Announcement competition and will continue to be considered for funding through the Dissemination Events: Winter 2012 Competition funding opportunity.
  • Peer review committees will not be informed of applications submitted for funding through this announcement.
  • After peer review, CIHR will generate a ranking list, ratings, and recommendations for funding decision-making purposes; the list remains anonymous unless applicants provide written consent to share nominative information.
