Eligibility

  • The proposed project must benefit residents of the City of Delta.
  • The project must align with one of the Foundation’s priority areas (health and social services, arts and culture, education, or conservation).
  • The application must include a clear project scope and timeline.
  • The application must demonstrate community support for the proposed project.
  • The application must include a detailed project budget and identify other funding sources.

  • Organizations proposing community activities in health and social services
  • Organizations proposing arts and culture activities
  • Organizations proposing education-related initiatives
  • Organizations proposing conservation projects

Eligible geographic areas

  • City of Delta, British Columbia (including Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta)
  • Projects outside the Municipality of Delta are eligible if they benefit Delta residents

How to apply

Step 1: Confirm fit with guidelines
  • Ensure the proposed activity aligns with health and social services, arts and culture, education, or conservation.
  • Confirm the project benefits residents of the City of Delta (including projects outside the Municipality that still benefit Delta residents).
Step 2: Prepare the application package
  • Complete the application form.
  • Attach a list of the organization’s Board of Directors.
  • Prepare two copies of the most recent financial statements.
  • Prepare two copies of the Annual Report.
Step 3: Write the project letter (max four pages)
  • Introduce the organization and its mandate.
  • State the community priorities the project will address.
  • Describe the project scope and include a timeline.
  • Demonstrate community support.
  • Provide a detailed budget, including funding from all other sources.
Step 4: Submit to the Foundation
  • Send the completed application form and all required attachments to the Delta Community Foundation.

Processing and Agreement

  • Grant recommendations are presented to the Delta Foundation Board of Directors for approval.
  • Applicants are advised of the Board’s decision in June or December, depending on when the application is received.
  • Grants are awarded on a semi-annual basis in May and November.
