Eligibility

The proposed project must benefit residents of the City of Delta.
The project must align with one of the Foundation’s priority areas (health and social services, arts and culture, education, or conservation).
The application must include a clear project scope and timeline.
The application must demonstrate community support for the proposed project.
The application must include a detailed project budget and identify other funding sources.

City of Delta, British Columbia (including Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta)

How to apply

Step 1: Confirm fit with guidelines

Ensure the proposed activity aligns with health and social services, arts and culture, education, or conservation.
Confirm the project benefits residents of the City of Delta (including projects outside the Municipality that still benefit Delta residents).

Step 2: Prepare the application package

Complete the application form.
Attach a list of the organization’s Board of Directors.
Prepare two copies of the most recent financial statements.
Prepare two copies of the Annual Report.

Step 3: Write the project letter (max four pages)

Introduce the organization and its mandate.
State the community priorities the project will address.
Describe the project scope and include a timeline.
Demonstrate community support.
Provide a detailed budget, including funding from all other sources.

Step 4: Submit to the Foundation

Send the completed application form and all required attachments to the Delta Community Foundation.

Processing and Agreement

Grant recommendations are presented to the Delta Foundation Board of Directors for approval.
Applicants are advised of the Board’s decision in June or December, depending on when the application is received.
Grants are awarded on a semi-annual basis in May and November.
