Dayforce Cares Canada Grant

• Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency for the recipient. Acceptable forms of documentation include the recipient’s Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian Citizenship Certificate, Indian status card or permanent residence card. We do not accept health cards or driver's licenses.
• Prior year's Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Notice of Assessment for all adults in the household (over 18 years of age). We do not accept tax filing documents and only the CRA Notice of Assessment.
• Basic Needs grant requests, recipient annual household income must be at or below the "Low Income Cut Off before tax" level as defined by Stats Canada.
• Quality of Life grant requests, recipient annual household income must be at or below the "Median before-tax family income in their province or territory" as defined by Stats Canada.
• Two quotes/estimates from vendors or service providers for the cost of the item(s) for which financial assistance is being requested.
• Optional: Letter from a third party to support your claims (e.g., doctor, teacher, social worker, therapist, etc.).

Who is eligible?

• Individuals and families in Canada
• Dayforce employees and their family members, under the same conditions as other applicants

Who is not eligible

• Applicants seeking rental or mortgage assistance
• Applicants without Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
• Applicants requesting support outside the program’s supported needs

Eligible expenses

• Basic needs such as food, clothing, blankets, cookware, diapers, and hygiene products
• Medical and mobility equipment, including prosthetics, eyewear, wheelchairs, walkers, and oxygen supplies
• Home accessibility adjustments such as ramps, shower supports, and lifts
• Therapies such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, and psychotherapy under six months
• Essential car repairs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Rental or mortgage assistance
• Personal loans and credit card debt
• Long-term therapies over 6 months
• Personal-use electronics and recreation
• Tuition, transportation, funeral costs, fundraising, membership fees, contests, lobbying, and conferences

• Availability of funds at the time of review
• Completeness of the application and supporting documents

• Step 1: Review application criteria

  • Confirm you meet the age and residency requirements.
• Step 2: Gather required documents
  • Collect proof of citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Obtain the CRA Notice of Assessment for all adults in the household.
  • Prepare vendor quotes and any supporting letters needed.
• Step 3: Complete the online form
  • Start the application online.
  • Select your province to confirm eligibility.
  • Fill in the required fields and upload documents.
• Step 4: Submit the application
  • Review the information for accuracy.
  • Send the completed application through the online portal.

• Applications are reviewed after all required documents are received
• Incomplete applications are returned for completion
• Missing documents must be provided within 6 weeks or the file is closed
• Decisions are usually made within 90 days
• Applicants are notified by email or mail

• Applications are accepted only during specific annual windows.
• Incomplete applications are returned and may be delayed.
• Funding decisions are final.
• Abusive or discriminatory conduct can lead to permanent disqualification.
