Overview
CRIAQ International supports collaborative international R&D projects with commercialization potential for product or process technologies, offering CRIAQ funding of up to $500,000 per year (maximum $1,500,000 over 2–3 years). Eligible activities are R&D carried out in Québec within a partnership involving at least one Québec SME, one Québec research organization, and one international industrial or research partner.
Activities funded
- Collaborative R&D projects with international partners that are intended to lead to the commercialization of new or improved product technologies.
- Collaborative R&D projects with international partners that are intended to lead to the commercialization of new or improved process technologies.
Eligibility
- The project must be a collaborative R&D project with potential to lead to the commercialization of a product or process technology.
- The partnership must include at least one Québec-based SME industrial partner.
- The partnership must include at least one Québec-based research organization.
- The partnership must include at least one international industrial or research partner.

- Quebec-based small and medium-sized industrial enterprises (SMEs)
- International industrial companies (as project partners)

- CRIAQ’s project portfolio team can support the setup of a national (Québec) project agreement and, on a case-by-case basis, help guide the ratification of an international agreement.
