How to apply

  • Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent
    • HSDPs submit the LOI form.
    • TSPs submit the LOI form for the relevant challenge.
  • Step 2: LOI review
    • LOIs are assessed for eligibility and challenge fit.
  • Step 3: Pitch and partner selection
    • Selected HSDPs are invited to technology pitch presentations.
    • The HSDP selects a TSP partner.
  • Step 4: Full proposal
    • Successful pairs are invited to co-create a full proposal.

Processing and Agreement

  • LOIs are reviewed for program eligibility and challenge fit.
  • Applications are evaluated by Alberta Innovates staff and external expert reviewers.
  • Selected pairs are invited to pitch and then co-create a full proposal.
  • Approved projects proceed to an investment agreement.

Additional information

  • Selected HSDP and TSP pairs are invited to co-create a full proposal.
  • TSPs may pitch to multiple HSDPs, but can collaborate with only one for a full proposal.
