Eligibility

The applicant must be a nonprofit organization recognized as either a U.S. 501(c)(3) or a provincially/Federally incorporated Canadian nonprofit organization.
The organization must be committed to serving local communities.
The organization’s work must align with at least one focus area: STEAM/academic enrichment, workforce development, or non-profit services for underserved and under-represented groups.
The organization must have received no more than $500,000 USD in annual donations per year for 2020 and 2021.

Who is eligible?

U.S. nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status.
Canadian provincially incorporated nonprofit organizations (excluding Quebec), other than educational institutions.
Canadian Federally incorporated nonprofit organizations (excluding Quebec), other than educational institutions.

Who is not eligible

Canadian nonprofit organizations located in Quebec.
Educational institutions in Canada.

Eligible expenses

Eligible activities supported through direct cash funding (up to $50,000 USD).
Sony Electronics products provided (valued up to $50,000 USD).
