- Full-time or part-time undergraduate students
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents
Who is not eligible
- Students from Barrie and Orillia, unless eligible through the family-related exception
- Postgraduate students
- Current employees of the County of Simcoe, except summer students

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the County of Simcoe bursary committee.
- Recommended awards are then approved by County Council.
- Successful applicants are notified after approval.
- Unsuccessful applicants are not formally notified.
Additional information
- One bursary is guaranteed for a resident of each of the County of Simcoe’s 16 member municipalities.
- Residents of Barrie and Orillia may apply only in limited family situations.
- Successful applicants are notified later in the fall.
- Successful recipients may also be considered for additional support from Georgian College.
