Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Direct provision of health care.
  • Primary or acute patient care.
  • Chronic disease management, access to care, or coordination of services for people requiring care.
  • Administrative overhead above 10% of the total grant requested.
  • Equipment or infrastructure purchases above 20% of the total grant requested.

  • The islands in the Salish Sea and the Johnstone Strait.
  • Mainland communities north of Powell River.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission and results are communicated to all applicants by early May.
  • The program is highly competitive, and not all eligible applications will be funded.
  • If approved, funds are distributed by early June.
  • A short end-of-project report must be submitted at the end of the project.
