- Other incorporated Indigenous communities and organizations
- Municipal governments and non-Indigenous organizations working in partnership with Indigenous people, organizations, and communities where the initiative primarily benefits Indigenous people

Selection criteria
- The project or initiative must address the needs of Indigenous women, girls and 2S+ people.
- The project or initiative must be Indigenous-led and, where appropriate, distinctions-based.
- The project or initiative must identify actions and performance measures to demonstrate how CSF outcomes will be achieved.
- The application must demonstrate organizational capacity, sustainability, and community accountability.
How to apply
- Read the guidelines.
- Fill out and sign the application form.
- Submit the application package by email or mail.
Processing and Agreement
- Indigenous Relations conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the application is complete.
- If the application is incomplete, more information may be requested.
- A full assessment is completed to confirm eligibility and suitability for CSF funding.
- Written notice of the final decision is sent by email or mail.
- After approval, a grant contribution agreement is entered into with the successful applicant.
- Successful applicants must submit a Final Report and a Financial Statement, and multi-year grants require Interim Report(s) before the next payment.

- The 2026-27 funding intake will open in spring 2026.
- Applicants may contact program staff to discuss proposals and receive feedback before submission.
