Who is eligible?
- Registered nonprofit organizations with a queer or 2SLGBTQIA+ focus or mandate.

- Fierté Canada Pride members and non-members.

Eligible expenses
- Municipality-required safety services and related insurance premiums.
- Temporary safety infrastructure such as barricades and perimeter fencing.
- Contracted safety personnel and honoraria for volunteer safety roles.
- External safety training for volunteers, marshals, vendors, or security personnel.
- Safety equipment such as megaphones, two-way radios, and high-visibility vests, with capital purchases capped at $2,000.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Ongoing programming such as year-round, weekly, or monthly activities.
- Safety-related events not directly tied to a Pride event, including symposiums, seminars, and panel discussions.
- Events that are not open to the public, such as youth camps or dance classes.
- Paid ticketed events, including dance parties, theatrical performances, film screenings, or other paid Pride events.
- Non-safety expenses such as marketing, performers, staging, food or alcohol, and sensory-free areas.

- Open the online Community Safety Fund application form provided by Fierté Canada Pride.
- Review the sample applications for small or medium-sized events if helpful.
- Step 2: Complete the application
- Submit one application covering your eligible event or events.
- If applying jointly for the same event, request support for different expenses.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Send the completed application through the online form.
Processing and Agreement
- Approved grantees receive a 2026–27 Recipient Report form after approval.
- Recipients must submit itemized paid receipts; invoices alone are not accepted as proof of payment.
- Recipients must also provide a reflection on the event’s impact.
- Incomplete reporting can affect the final payment and future eligibility, and may require repayment of previously allocated funds.

- Each organization may submit only one application, but that application can cover multiple events.
- More than one organization may apply for the same event if each requests support for different expenses.
