Eligible expenses

  • Project-related costs for community safety, youth, or IPV/GBV initiatives.
  • Capacity-building costs such as training, office supplies, and equipment.
  • Program delivery costs for direct services, outreach, and awareness activities.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Durham Region, Ontario

Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to initiatives serving equity-deserving youth.
  • Indigenous-led organizations may be prioritized.
  • Projects should strengthen services, resilience, or access to support in Durham Region.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare application
    • Complete the grant application form.
    • Complete the budget form.
    • Gather the most recent financial statements and year-to-date financial statements.
  • Step 2: Submit by email
    • Email the completed application package to cswb@durham.ca.
  • Step 3: Await confirmation
    • Applicants receive a confirmation email once the application is received.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission by the Region of Durham.
  • Selected applicants receive a notice of decision in June 2026.
  • Successful applicants must sign a written funding agreement before funding is finalized.
  • The agreement sets out results, timelines, reporting, payment, and other obligations.
