Who is eligible?

  • Community associations operating as not-for-profit.
  • Registered charitable organizations.
  • For-profit enterprises applying with an eligible not-for-profit partner.

  • Individuals applying on their own behalf.
  • For-profit organizations applying on their own behalf.
  • Provincial or federal sport funding bodies.
  • Business Improvement Associations.
  • Organizations outside City of Barrie jurisdiction.

Eligible expenses

  • Program delivery and event costs for recreation and sport initiatives.
  • Capital improvements such as renovations, repairs, major equipment, and technology upgrades.

  • Capital-related expenses under the Programming & Events stream.
  • Travel-related expenses.
  • Consulting fees.
  • Projects or activities outside the City of Barrie.
