Community Infrastructure Grants

• The project involves upgrading, enhancing, renovating, or constructing a community asset.
• The asset is publicly owned.
• The asset is accessible to the public.
• The project demonstrates benefits for the community’s future (e.g., climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainability, accessibility, health and safety, or community well-being).
• The project is located within Canada.

• Local community organizations (Canada)
• Canadian municipalities and communities (Community Infrastructure stream)
• Indigenous communities (Indigenous Infrastructure stream)
• Manitoba municipalities (AMM Infrastructure stream)

• Pre-screening assessment of project impact.
• Eligibility confirmation and alignment with program criteria.
• Randomized draw among eligible applications, based on grant availability.

• Applications are pre-screened by an internal committee for impact, eligibility, and alignment with program criteria.
• Eligible applications enter a randomized draw to select recipients based on the number of grants available.
• Selected recipients are contacted in mid-December.

• Eligible applications are entered into a randomized draw after pre-screening.
• A select number of recipients are contacted in mid-December.
• The program includes three funding streams: Community Infrastructure, Indigenous Infrastructure, and AMM Infrastructure (Manitoba-only).
