Eligibility

  • The project involves upgrading, enhancing, renovating, or constructing a community asset.
  • The asset is publicly owned.
  • The asset is accessible to the public.
  • The project demonstrates benefits for the community’s future (e.g., climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainability, accessibility, health and safety, or community well-being).
  • The project is located within Canada.

  • Local community organizations (Canada)
  • Canadian municipalities and communities (Community Infrastructure stream)
  • Indigenous communities (Indigenous Infrastructure stream)
  • Manitoba municipalities (AMM Infrastructure stream)

Eligible geographic areas

  • Canada (project must be within Canada)
  • Manitoba (AMM Infrastructure stream only)

Selection criteria

  • Pre-screening assessment of project impact.
  • Eligibility confirmation and alignment with program criteria.
  • Randomized draw among eligible applications, based on grant availability.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are pre-screened by an internal committee for impact, eligibility, and alignment with program criteria.
  • Eligible applications enter a randomized draw to select recipients based on the number of grants available.
  • Selected recipients are contacted in mid-December.
