Eligibility

The project involves upgrading, enhancing, renovating, or constructing a community asset.
The asset is publicly owned.
The asset is accessible to the public.
The project demonstrates benefits for the community’s future (e.g., climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainability, accessibility, health and safety, or community well-being).
The project is located within Canada.

Selection criteria

Pre-screening assessment of project impact.
Eligibility confirmation and alignment with program criteria.
Randomized draw among eligible applications, based on grant availability.

Processing and Agreement

Applications are pre-screened by an internal committee for impact, eligibility, and alignment with program criteria.
Eligible applications enter a randomized draw to select recipients based on the number of grants available.
Selected recipients are contacted in mid-December.
