Eligibility
- The project involves upgrading, enhancing, renovating, or constructing a community asset.
- The asset is publicly owned.
- The asset is accessible to the public.
- The project demonstrates benefits for the community’s future (e.g., climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainability, accessibility, health and safety, or community well-being).
- The project is located within Canada.

- Local community organizations (Canada)
- Canadian municipalities and communities (Community Infrastructure stream)
- Indigenous communities (Indigenous Infrastructure stream)
- Manitoba municipalities (AMM Infrastructure stream)

Selection criteria
- Pre-screening assessment of project impact.
- Eligibility confirmation and alignment with program criteria.
- Randomized draw among eligible applications, based on grant availability.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are pre-screened by an internal committee for impact, eligibility, and alignment with program criteria.
- Eligible applications enter a randomized draw to select recipients based on the number of grants available.
- Selected recipients are contacted in mid-December.
