Eligible expenses
- Direct grant support for project or event costs
- In-kind municipal support, including facility use at reduced or no cost
- Fee waivers, municipal staff support, equipment supply, materials supply, and insurance coverage
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Advertising and promotional items, including brochures and maps, for capital projects
- Annually purchased items such as flowers
- Refundable deposits, such as damage deposits
- Requests from recreation groups or Special Interest Groups

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
- Incomplete applications are returned with a request for more information.
- Council makes the final funding decision after review and pre-approval by the Wind Companies.
- Applicants are notified after the municipal budget has been passed.
Additional information
- Only one application per organization per year is permitted for either funding stream.
- Applicants may be asked to make a brief presentation to Council.
- Applications and supporting documents must be received by September 15 at 4:30 pm.
- Applicants must review the Community Grant Policy before applying.
